About Your Baby Matters

Hello!

I’m Gemma, a registered paediatric nurse and the founder of Your Baby Matters.

Throughout my nursing career, I have worked across a range of paediatric intensive care settings, including cardiac and neonatal specialities. In these environments, I was directly involved in hands-on emergency care for babies, children, and young people during some of the most frightening and vulnerable moments a family can face.

That experience has stayed with me. I learnt just how crucial those first moments can be, and how the right response can make a real difference when a baby needs urgent help.

I now work in the community as a clinical lead nurse across two regions of London, supporting children and young people with complex health needs - a role I absolutely love.

I created Your Baby Matters because I believe every parent and caregiver deserves access to clear, compassionate, evidence-based education. My aim is to take away some of the fear around resuscitation by making the knowledge feel simple, practical, and empowering.

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, relative, friend, or caregiver, my classes are here to give you practical knowledge and gentle reassurance, so you feel prepared to respond if your baby is ever in an emergency situation.
